Our sweet and loving Mary Kelly-Mohr, Founder and Executive Director of Heroes Warehouse, passed away on May 12th after a valiant and courageous battle fighting cancer. Mary was born on August 31, 1956, in Norfolk Virginia, the child of a Navy family. Her mother was Yolanda Kochis and her father was Peter Kochis, who was a Commander in the Navy. She was the second oldest girl in a family of 8 children. She had 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Her childhood was that of a military family living in Norfolk, Hawaii, and San Diego. Mary later moved with her family to West Covina where she graduated from Bishop Amat Memorial High School, a Catholic school in La Puente, California. Upon graduation, Mary worked a variety of corporate jobs in administration, bookkeeping, and operations.
She retired from the corporate world at the age of 43 but continued working with her husband Richard at their family-owned business, RGM Dental.
Mary always had a love of country and the military often volunteering her services in the community.
More than 8 years ago, what started as a simple act of kindness turned into her passion and ignited what would be Heroes Warehouse. (Read more about Mary Here)
